It is reported that a group of about 200 armed men had kidnapped a senior police officer in India.
The Indian media mentioned that the kidnapping was done after the police officer arrested 6 suspects in connection with a vehicle theft.
The incident was reported from Manipur state yesterday (27) evening.
About 200 gunmen raided the police officer’s house at around 7 last night and kidnapped the police officer and his bodyguard.
After that, an army team, which was immediately activated, chased the group and rescued them.
Foreign media reports say that the police officers are currently being treated in hospital.
