The Padukka Police say that someone shot at a house in the Madulava area of Padukka this morning (01) and ran away.
It is said that a group of people have been temporarily staying in the house that was attacked in Piliyandala area.
The police also said that the group had stopped at the house to participate in the foundation stone laying for the construction of a house on another land near the house and that they were there in preparation to buy the house.
The people in the respective house were sleeping when the shooting happened suddenly and the panicked people ran to the kitchen of the house and informed the Sagawa police emergency number.
