It is reported that a shooting took place near an apartment complex in front of Borella Magazine Prison.
The police have stated that a person was injured in the shooting that took place last night (19) and has been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital for treatment.
The shooting was done by a gunman who came on a motorcycle in front of the luxury apartment complex on Ananda Rajakaruna Mawatha, Borella.
The police said that the person injured in the shooting is a 38-year-old man who is a tenant of the apartment complex in question.
The injured person has been identified as a person involved in drug trafficking and it has been revealed by the police that he was a person who was released from remand and bailed a few days ago.
The suspects have not been identified yet and the Borella Police have started further investigations in this regard.
