It is reported that a shooting took place yesterday (15) near a fish shop located in front of the new Gallupara fuel station in the Weligama police domain.
Two unknown people who came on a motorcycle targeted two people and ran away. After being admitted to the Walana hospital, the two people who were injured have been transferred to the Matara hospital for further treatment.
The injured are two residents of Denipitiya and Welipitiya, aged 42 and 52, and one of the injured is the owner of a fish shop where the shooting took place. It has been revealed that the other person is an employee of the fish shop.
Weligama Police is investigating to arrest the suspects.
