It is reported that the Minister of Power and Energy Mr. Kanchana Wijesekera has announced in a tweet that he is expected to start a project to build 25,000 rural houses and install solar panels on the roofs of those houses together with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.
It is also mentioned that the electricity generated from the solar panels will be added to the national system.
