It is reported that the National Dengue Control Unit has decided to implement a special dengue control week for the North West Province from (22) to the 28th.
Mr. Indika Weerasinghe, Community Doctor of the National Dengue Control Unit, who commented further on this matter.
“There is an increase in reports of dengue cases from various parts of the island. In order to protect the people of the North-West Province from dengue, the North-West Province Health Services Department has arranged to implement a special dengue prevention week in the North-West Province. This program will be implemented from May 22 to May 28. The people of the North-West Province are requested to visit the offices of the Medical Officer of Health, medical teams and they will jointly check your home, work place or school. Clean the places where mosquitoes can breed. Your support is highly appreciated.”
