In order to evict the Indian fishermen who are engaged in illegal fishing activities in the Sri Lankan waters, the Navy has taken over a vessel carrying three Indian fishermen who were engaged in fishing activities in violation of the Sri Lankan territorial waters during a special operation carried out by the Navy yesterday (19) night in the North Sea. The media unit has announced.
The three arrested Indian fishermen and the vessel are to be handed over to the Jaffna Fisheries Inspectorate for further investigations after bringing them to Kankasanture port.
