A Sri Lankan youth was shot dead by the police in America.

It is reported that a 33-year-old man of Sri Lankan origin, Rajan Munasinghe, was shot dead by the Austin police.
Foreign media reports that this shooting took place on November 15.
This happened because the police officers killed Rajan, who was keeping a firearm in his hall, without giving him enough time to put down the firearm in his hand.
When Rajan, who was not at home for a few days, returned home, he assumed that the house had been broken into by thieves and took a firearm hidden near the door of the house for his own protection, according to his family members.
However, Rajan’s relatives further state that the police officers shot him at 12.30 am on November 15th without giving him enough time to put down the firearm in his hand.
Also, it is reported that the Austin police said that Daniel Sanchez, the police officer who shot Rajan, has now been sent on mandatory leave.
