During the adjournment debate held in the Parliament based on four issues including the postponement of local government, the State Minister for Primary Industries Mr. Chamara Sampath Dasanayake stated that twenty four crore sixty three lakhs will be given to 39 former MPs of Janatha Vimukti Peramuna as pensions of Rs 40,000 per MP for 13 years. Sixty thousand has been paid and before the pensions of the former presidents were cut, the pension money received so far should be returned and talked about as important.
