A VERY SPECIAL GAZETTE FROM THE NATIONAL POLICE COMMISSION TO THE INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE.


That the National Police Commission through a special gazette has empowered the Inspector General of Police to make appointments, promotions, transfers, disciplinary control, dismissal etc.  It is reported.

Accordingly, in addition to the Inspector General of Police, it is stated that this authority has been delegated to Assistant Superintendents of Police from Senior DIG.

The Police Commission has informed that all these appointments, promotions, transfers, disciplinary control, dismissal etc. are done in accordance with the rules and regulations of the National Police Commission, and if anyone has been abused, they can appeal to the National Police Commission.  .

Also, the National Police Commission assigned this power to the Inspector General of Police and other high officials, but they should take decisions in every case according to the provisions of Article 155 of the Constitution, and this power has been given taking into account many factors such as facilitating the work of police officers, making decisions quickly, etc.  The Police Commission has further stated that.
