Nallathanniya Police have reported that 12 people were injured and admitted to the Maskeliya Regional Hospital after a group of school children were stung by wasps near the tea factory in Murray Thevathuya.
Among the injured are 12 girls and 03 boys.
These children, who are 12 and 13 years old, were on their way home from an extra class when they were attacked by wasps.
Injured school children who have been hospitalized have said that they were attacked by a wasp nest tied to a tree.
