A WOMAN GOES MISSING AFTER GOING TO SRI PADA VANDANA.

The relatives of the woman have complained to Malsiripura Police that an 80-year-old woman who had come for Sri Pada Vandana along Hatton Road has gone missing, and a copy of the complaint has been sent to Nallathanniya Police.

Last (23) days, a Sri Pada procession consisting of 53 people from Malsiripura Madahapola Kanda area came for Sri Pada Vandana along the Hatton route, and the woman who disappeared along with the procession traveled to Itikatupahana, and after that the woman disappeared. It is stated in the complaint made to the police.

Relatives of the family have said that because a large number of pilgrims were present for Sri Pada Vanda, there was a heavy traffic in the temple of Sri Pada, where the woman had disappeared.

In this regard, in an inquiry to the Station Commander of the Nallathanniya Police Chief Inspector EAPS Wirasekara, he said that Malsiripura Police has informed our police station about this, from Nallathanniya to Sri Pada Uda Malwa and from Sri Pada Uda Malwa. All police checkpoints on the Ratnapura road have been notified.

The Police Station Commander has also said that no information has been received about the missing woman so far.
