A news is reported from Pothuvil area that a woman was beaten to death with a sharp weapon and the suspect also hanged himself to death.
The Police Media Division announced that yesterday (12) a woman who was staying in a hotel room in Arugambe area of Pothuvil Police Domain was murdered.
The deceased was a 35-year-old resident of Mahakalugolla area.
The deceased woman had come to stay in a hotel room with a person, and the manager, suspecting that the room was not opened, informed the officers of the Arugambay police station and broke open the door of the room with them.
It has been observed that a woman was found dead in the room with blood and the suspect had hanged himself in the bathroom adjacent to the room.
A 51-year-old resident of Pothuvil area died after hanging himself.
Pothuvil Police is conducting investigations regarding the incident.
