The Jaffna Police state that a young man who was traveling on the footboard of a bus in Jaffna has fallen from it and died.
The accident took place in Nallur area of Jaffna.
A 29-year-old youth named Alagarasa Nidarshan, a resident of Silayadi Katsilemadu area, has died.
It is said that the officers of the Northern Provincial Council Transport Authority have started a special investigation regarding this accident and the road license of the relevant bus has also been temporarily suspended.
