It is reported that Mr. Chanaka Dharmawickrama, President of the Government Radiology Technologists Association, stated that due to the shortage of radiologists, the X-ray and CT scan activities of government hospitals are in a dangerous situation and the country needs 400 radiologists.
He further mentions that although the X-ray and CT scan equipment is repaired, there is no staff to operate the equipment.
But a cabinet paper was submitted to get approval for the recruitment of radiologists, and once the approval is received, the recruitment process will begin.
Health Secretary Mr. Janaka Shri Chandragupta has mentioned.
