According to the circular issued by the Ministry of Education for the admission of students to the first grade of the schools, applications should be sent to the schools and it is reported that the principals will conduct interviews and enroll the students.
Admission of students to the sixth grade in schools is done only on the basis of the marks of the fifth grade scholarship examination.
In the year 2024, GCE for intermediate classes other than grades 1, 5 and 6. Applications related to admission of students (including higher level) should be forwarded to the schools and if there are vacancies in those schools, the principals will conduct interviews and send the list of selected students to the Ministry of Education for approval.
Also, the Ministry of Education further stated that the Ministry of Education will not issue admission letters for schools.
