It is reported that the National Election Commission has decided to inform political parties about the Election Expenses Regulation Act.
Election Commission Chairman R.M. it. L. Mr. Rathnayake mentioned that relevant information will be given today (27) and March 6.
According to the Election Expenses Regulation Act, the spending of money for elections should be limited.
However, due to the fact that even one election has not been held after the passing of the Act, it is stated that the discussions are being held with the aim of giving proper understanding to the politicians regarding the provisions of the relevant Act.
It is said that Ranjitmadduma Bandara, Sisira Jayakodi, Uvindu Wijeweera and others participated in the discussion representing the parties.
