It is reported that President Ranil Wickremesinghe announced that a new institution will be established to study the history of Sri Lanka as soon as possible while joining the 178th celebration of the Royal Asiatic Society held at the Mahaweli Centre.
The President also stated that the Department of Archives, the Department of Archeology, the National Museum, the Cultural Triangle, the University and the Royal Asiatic Society will be established and steps will be taken to finalize the draft law.
