It is reported that the price of a bunch of oranges in Colombo and its surroundings has increased to 200 rupees due to the increase in demand for oranges and kurumba due to the high temperature in the country these days.
An orange was sold for 200 rupees today (28) in an orange shop near the Colombo harbor entrance and it is said that foreigners were seen buying and drinking oranges from that place more eagerly.
About two weeks ago, an orange in Colombo was priced between 120 and 140 rupees.
