It is reported that a woman who tried to send two women to Malaysia on tourist visas without a valid job order from the Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau was arrested today (16) by the officers of the Special Investigation Department of the Foreign Employment Bureau.
A pre-school teacher from Bhagwanthalawa area has been arrested.
The pre-school teacher’s brother was arrested and the pre-school teacher was arrested after an investigation when they tried to send the two concerned women from the airport to be sent to domestic work in Malaysia.
After presenting the suspect Hatton to the Acting Magistrate, she was ordered to be released on a personal bail of five lakh rupees and she has also been ordered to appear before the Negombo Magistrate’s Court on the 18th of this month.
