It is reported that a suspect has been arrested in Biyagama Malwana area in connection with the incident of shooting dead a Theranam in a temple in Malvatuhiripitiya area.
Police have also said that the suspect was in possession of a hand grenade made in Sri Lanka and about 10 milligrams of ice drug.
The 23-year-old suspect is a resident of Aralagangwila area.
The police said that the suspect is suspected to be directly involved in the crime.
The Western Province North Crime Division is conducting further investigations regarding the incident.
