By the end of the second day of the first test between New Zealand and Sri Lanka, the New Zealand team has collected 162 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their first innings.

Tom Latham, who scored the most runs in the New Zealand innings, managed to collect 67 runs.

While bowling for Sri Lanka, Lahiru Kumara and Kasun Rajitha managed to take 2 wickets each and at the end of the second day, the New Zealand team was 193 runs behind the Sri Lankan team.

Sri Lanka were bowled out for only 355 runs in the first innings.
