It is reported that Bangladesh cricket captain Shakib Al Hasan has been elected as a Member of Parliament with an easy victory in yesterday’s general election.
The country’s media said that Shakib had won his seat with a majority of 150,000 votes.
It is said that Shakib, who is the captain of all three Bangladesh Test, ODI and 20/20 teams, ran for the election in the Awami League led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
