According to the Minister of Agriculture Mahinda Amaraweera, a ship carrying 41,876 metric tons of Bundi fertilizer is scheduled to arrive at the port of Colombo tonight (02).
The muriate of potash or Bundi fertilizer, which is an essential fertilizer for paddy cultivation in the highlands, is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka today.
Also, a ship carrying 9000 metric tons of fertilizer to be given to low-income families living in the 8 districts of the country arrived in Colombo today (02) and the unloading operations have already started, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations said.
