CABINET APPROVES AMENDMENT OF TEA, RUBBER AND COCONUT PLANTATION ACT

After presenting a proposal in this year’s budget, the President had decided to amend the relevant Act to amend the existing laws by restricting the subdivision of coconut lands of one acre or less. Accordingly, it is reported that the Cabinet of Ministers approved the amendment of the Tea, Rubber and Coconut Plantation Act.
