The Central Bank of Sri Lanka reports that although the foreign remittance in 2022 showed a decrease of 31.0% compared to the year 2021, the remittance is recovering remarkably in the latter half of 2022.
Accordingly, it is reported that the foreign remittance in the year 2022 is 3,789 million US dollars and the foreign remittance in the year 2021 is 5,491 million US dollars.
Accordingly, it is said that the amount of remittances in 2022 was lower than in 2021, but it recovered in the latter half of 2022.
