This crime took place when this school girl came to Dombagahawela area from Jaela area for her school holidays.
In this connection, the police investigations have revealed that when the girl went to the temple with her aunt and grandmother, the girl was sexually assaulted by the priest of the temple with the help of the two elders.
Also, a brother of Chivara Dhariya had sexually assaulted the girl in her aunt’s house, so he and the girl’s grandmother and aunt were arrested by the Dombagahawela Police and brought before the Monaragala court.
The four accused have been remanded until January 10 and further investigations are being carried out by the Dombagahawela Police.
