It is reported that the Minister of Power and Energy Mr. Kanchana Wijesekera has stated that 7 companies have expressed their interest for the proposed new refinery in Hambantota as of yesterday (27).
He has stated that the immediate evaluation committee and other procurement committees will evaluate the EOI and issue requests for proposals to eligible applicants.
The 7 companies presented for this are,

Vitol Group of Singapore
Matin Tejarat Co. of Iran
Harree Management Services (Pvt) Ltd. of Sri Lanka and United Arab States. with Marka Invest
Deniyaya Engineering Sales and Services Syndicate of Sri Lanka
