Mr. Chamil Wijesinghe, the media spokesperson of the Government Medical Officers Association has stated that the number of Covid-19 patients is increasing daily, nearly 05 Covid patients have been reported daily and 02 Covid deaths have been reported in the last 3 days.
It is also reported that he further stated that the Ministry of Health should pay attention to the reporting of Covid patients with the current respiratory conditions.
Mr. Chamil Wijesinghe who commented further,
“In the last few days, there has been a situation of daily reports of Covid patients. Especially, it was reported from Jaffna Hospital. A Covid death was reported. The Ministry of Health has officially announced that several Covid patients have been reported yesterday and the day before. It is a situation that needs to be taken into consideration. Especially now, we are seeing an increase in the respiratory disease condition across the country. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health should focus on conducting some observation and investigation on the fact that there are Covid patients.”
