Mr. Nimal Vatuhewa, the convener of the Farmers’ National Conference, said that although the tillage work has started in Trincomalee district, diesel has not been received at the right time. He stated that a program should be used to provide the required amount of diesel at the right time.
Taxila Deshapriya, the chairman of the Trincomalee District Agriculture Board, said that the government is deliberately avoiding buying paddy.
