Yesterday (31) two suspects were arrested by Talangama Police Station who cheated on money and stationery by saying that they would prepare passports under the one-day service.
It is reported that the Thalangama police have received three complaints regarding this matter and have started investigations and arrested these persons.
It is reported that national identity cards of two complainants, nine fake tokens and 15000 rupees in cash were found with the suspects.
It is reported that the suspects are 47 and 65 years old residents of Malambe and Colombo 9 areas.
It is reported that the suspects are scheduled to be produced before the Kaduwela Magistrate’s Court today (01).
