Purnachandra Radhi, head of the Indian Earthquake Research Institute, has warned the Indian government that a serious earthquake will occur in the Indian states of Himchal – Uttarakhand in the coming week.
He has further mentioned that this can be described as eight on the Richter scale than the earthquake that happened in Turkey.
Radhi further stated that earthquakes occurring in Uttarakhand state are extremely large.
He also claims that earthquake monitoring will be done through the 18 earthquake investigation centers established in the state.
The head of Indian Seismology also said that many buildings in this state are built underground.
Purvachandra Radhi also revealed that the earth’s surface in India is moving at the rate of five centimeters per year.
The head of the earthquake investigation also added that the rift between Himchal and Nepal would lead to earthquakes.
