Due to the bad weather, the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources has advised people to refrain from going to sea from today (31) until further notice.
The department has further informed that if there are people who have already gone to the eastern sea of the country for maritime activities, to take those vessels to safe areas.
Meanwhile, the Department of Meteorology has stated that the pressure depression that has occurred along the Bay of Bengal sea is centered in the south-east direction, about 455 km east of Trincomalee.
