Member of Parliament Eran Wickramaratne stated that four measures should be implemented in order to save the country from the current situation.
Mr. Eran Wickramaratne said that as a first step, leaders should set an example by presenting the assets of politicians and government officials.
He emphasized that as the second step, the Bribery and Corruption Commission should be transformed into an independent institution and the external interference to that institution should be stopped.
He said that as the third step, to stop the looting which was the main reason for the country to be in such a situation, a system should be set up to return the looted property and money to the government and the necessary laws should be re-set for that.
