It is reported that a small child has died in a car accident that took place in the 09 post area of Tiniyawala Neluwa Pelawatta road.
The police said that a lorry was traveling towards Neluwa from Pelawatta and the driver of the lorry could not control the speed and rammed into a house with a garage nearby.
There, this child was sitting on a chair in front of the house and the lorry rammed into the house, crushing the child as well.
The seriously injured child died after being admitted to the Meeghathanna Hospital.
The driver and assistant of the lorry were also injured and admitted to Elpitiya Hospital.
A 06-year-old boy named Aditya Punsara, who was studying in the first grade, was living in Yattapatha area, Sinharaja Park, 09th post.
Tiniyawala police are conducting further investigations regarding this accident.
