The French Senate has reportedly approved the proposal to constitutionalize the right to abortion.
Foreign media have reported that the upper house of the French Parliament, the Senate, has given the relevant approval in the voting held yesterday (28).
267 votes have been received in favor of the resolution and only 50 votes have been received against it.
Abortion has been legal in France since 1974 and this proposal has been presented in relation to its further confirmation by the constitution.
Foreign media have reported that there is no need to go to a referendum as the relevant resolution has been passed by a three-fifths majority.
