It is reported that Mrs. Gangani Kalpani Liyanage, Chief of the Government Printing Office, has stated that almost half of the postal ballot papers of the local government have been printed.
She states that the police protection required for the institution is not provided properly. She stated that the remaining postal ballots can be printed and completed within 4 days if proper police protection is provided.
Mrs. Gangani Kalpani Liyanage, Printing Press Officer, further stated that the printing of postal ballot papers requires the security of around 60 police officers and yesterday (15) only three police officers were provided for security.
