HEALTH ISSUES TO PARLIAMENT.

It is reported that opposition leader Sajith Premadasa questioned the minister in charge of the subject in Parliament today (04) regarding the problematic situation that has arisen in the purchase of cancer radiotherapy machines for hospitals.

The minister in charge of the subject has stated that he has come to an agreement with the supplier company and the work related to update is in progress when presenting the matter to the Parliament in this regard.

However, the opposition leader has stated that the ministry secretary is preparing to buy the machines according to the old agreement without revising this agreement and the lives of many cancer patients are in danger due to the lack of immediate updating of the treatment machines.
