HEALTH WORKERS ARE STILL ON THE STREETS TODAY.

It is reported that several civil organizations including health unions have organized protests in front of hospitals today (22) based on the discrepancies in their field including the shortage of medicines in the country.

Accordingly, it has been decided to hold these protests during the lunch hour.

It is special that these protests are planned in a way that does not interfere with patient treatment.

Commenting on this matter, the Nuwara Eliya District Secretary of the All Ceylon Medical and Health Trade Unions Association, Dr. Madhura Senaviratne stated that these protests have been organized because the government has not taken proper measures to resolve the problematic situations that have arisen in the sector.
