Today (04), the Department of Meteorology announces that some areas of the island may experience rain or thundershowers in the evening or at night.
Accordingly, the department announces that there is a possibility of rain in the North, North-West and Western Provinces and in Galle and Matara Districts in the morning, and in some places in the North, North-Central, Eastern and Uva Provinces and in the Puttalam District, there may be heavy rain conditions exceeding 100 mm. .
In particular, the Department of Meteorology requested the people to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
