It is reported that the Department of Meteorology has stated that the rain conditions in the south-western parts of the island are expected to increase in the next few days from tomorrow (27).
Accordingly, it is stated that some areas of Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces as well as Galle and Matara districts may experience heavy rains exceeding 100 mm.
The department has also mentioned that there may be heavy rains or thundershowers in North-West, Uva, Eastern provinces and Kandy, Nuwara Eliya and Hambantota districts.
