The attacks were on northern Israel. The Israeli army has succeeded in thwarting those rocket attacks and counter attacks.
Iran, a Shia Muslim state, supports Hezbollah militants. Hizbullah fighters have attacked Israel in response to the death of a Hizbullah leader in airstrikes by Israel on identified targets on the Lebanese border.
