How police officers get into trouble because of Wasantha Mudali. They use other tricks to escape.

The law shows four ways to file a case against the Sri Lanka Police Department or any other public official who commits an offence. Apart from that, the disciplinary authority should also conduct an inquiry against them, but it will be based on the complaint submitted.

By now Vasantha Mudali has come out on bail. According to the latest news, the officers of the Terrorism Investigation Division have to face various cases. If those officials acted against someone’s interest and committed a mistake knowingly, they will be held responsible.

It is also reported that the Attorney General has decided to file an appeal against the Magistrate’s Court granting bail to the convener of the Inter-University Student Council, Wasantha Mudalige. It is also reported that the request was made by the Inspector General of Police.

Colombo Chief Magistrate Prasanna Alwis yesterday (January 31) ordered the release of Wasantha Mudali, who was remanded in custody under the Prevention of Terrorism Act from November 21, 2021 under various charges.

In addition, yesterday (01) bail was ordered for 03 other cases against Wasantha Mudalige. That was when he was presented before the Fort Magistrate yesterday.

However, we reported early on that his arrest was wrong and we have also mentioned that a huge struggle is happening again because of this arrest and unnecessary suppression. It has been mentioned on the same day that we arrested him that it is the police officers who will end up in trouble.

Wasant Mudalige, the convener of the Inter-University Student Council, who was detained for 89 days under the Prevention of Terrorism Act and then remanded for another 78 days, was released on bail yesterday (February 01).

“The government wanted to lock us up and kill us if possible. How were they planned? Tomorrow I will hold a special press conference and tell you where they were taken.” He further stated.
