It is reported that the Minister of State for Power and Energy Mr. Indika Anuruddha stated that although there was rain in many areas, there was no significant rainfall in the areas around the hydroelectric power plants, due to which the production of hydroelectricity has increased to 14%.
With the dry weather, the production of hydropower was between 11% and 12% in the past few days.
