Although there has been a racket of illegally distributing thousands of works of senior authors and novice writers in the country in PDF format through social media and the Internet without the regular permission of the book publishers and authors, it is reported that no official has taken any action in this regard.
Thousands of authors have been inconvenienced due to this illegal trafficking and today (30) they are going to file a case before the Colombo High Court and complain to the Criminal Investigation Department, the “Writers Publishers and Readers Union Against Illegal PDF Robbery” declares. They have also mentioned that legal action will be taken against the suspects in this regard.
