ICELAND IS DESTROYED BY LAVA.

A volcanic eruption (explosion) occurred in Iceland and the lava released from the explosion flowed into the small town, and it is reported that many houses were completely destroyed.

Icelandic authorities said all of the city’s infrastructure was also destroyed.

Iceland is an island nation full of volcanoes. With a population of 3,76,000, the island is located in the North Atlantic Ocean at the border of North America and Europe.

The lava destroyed the small fishing town of Gridavik, 70 kilometers from the capital, Reykjavík.

Lava began to emerge from volcanic vents near the city last November. Accordingly, since then, the authorities have taken steps to evacuate people from the town of Gridavik. Hence, no casualties were reported.
