The Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka has decided to file a case against the relevant parties on the basis of insulting the commission and failing to implement the order given by the commission.

It is related to the non-implementation of the order to provide electricity without cuts during the period of the G.E.C. Advanced level examination from January 23rd to February 17th.

  According to the report, the Sri Lanka Human Rights Commission has stated that the relevant certificates were forwarded to the Supreme Court today (27).

In the report, the Human Rights Commission has said that the Attorney General, Chairman of Ceylon Electricity Board Mr. MS Ilangakoon and Secretary of the Ministry of Power and Energy MPDU Mapa Pathirana are the respondents in this complaint.
