In the report, the Council of Ministers has approved the implementation of a project to provide interest-free loan facilities to students who are unable to enter the state universities of Sri Lanka due to the reduction of cut-off marks for non-state degree programs.
Accordingly, interest-free loans have been given to 5 groups of students and it is said that students have been identified for the 06th group.
According to the report, the proposal presented by the Ministry of Education to provide these facilities for the students has been approved by the Council of Ministers.
