According to the report, the Human Rights Commission has decided to conduct an investigation according to a petition sent to the Human Rights Commission by the Physicians’ Union Alliance for Medical and Civil Rights, stating that the lack of medicines in the country and the increase in the price of medicines is a violation of the human rights of the people.
Accordingly, the Human Rights Commission has said that a notice has been issued to the Ministry of Health for those investigations.
It is reported that the Health Secretary, the Director General of Health Services and the Drug Regulatory Authority have been named by the Doctors’ Union Alliance for Medical and Civil Rights as respondents to the petition.
