It is reported that a person has unfortunately lost his life in an accident where a car collided with a scooter type motorcycle in Dehi.
A 52-year-old resident of Moratuwa who was traveling on a motorcycle has died.
The accident took place near the intersection of Dehiwala Kadawata Road with Parakumba Mawatha and it is said that the police have started investigations as to whether this was a deliberate homicide.
Police investigations have also started regarding whether there was an argument between the driver of the suspect car and the deceased before the accident.
However, it is reported that the Dehiwala Police who conducted the investigation have now arrested the driver of the suspect car.
A 30-year-old resident of Dehiwala has been arrested and the arrested suspect will be produced before the Mt. Magistrate’s Court tomorrow, police said.
